LEED® is a voluntary certification program that addresses the building life cycle, from design to construction and operation over time.

LEED(Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification is a building rating and certification system developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). The system is based on awarding ‘credits’ for each requirement to achieve the 4 levels of certification: Certified, Silver, Gold, Platinum.

LEED promotes a sustainability-oriented approach, recognizing building performance in key areas, such as energy and water conservation, reduction of CO2 emissions, improvement of the ecological quality of interiors, materials and resources used, and design and site selection.

LEED certification is the world’s most prestigious standard for eco-friendly construction (it is now applied in 40 different countries).
